Because they're not a huge hardcover book, they'll probably be cheaper to ship as well. They come with a stripped down rule book, an introductory adventure, and a set of dice. Edge of the Empire is largely for people who want to play scoundrels, bounty hunters, and smugglers (Han), Age of Rebellion is for those that want to play Diplomats and Soldiers (Leia), and Force and Destiny is for those that want to play Jedi/force users (Luke).
